Sounds good to me! Need to work on an Angle for Sponsorship! Flights and Gear etc. I reckon that we can do it! Get some great Publicity! Cheers Si No news yet about the Script but Bill Forsyth has taken on Hoilday with him! You never know!
Hi Kev, I was thinking, which for a Drummer is quite unusual but as I'm going to be 50 next year. How about 50 Countries World Tour!?? Let me know and we'll do it, Cheers Si Cymbal Simon Counts From 1 to 4! :O
Hi Kev, Good news! Rab Buchanan was asked to present a Scottish BAFTA to Bill Forsyth (Director of Gregory's Girl, That Sinking Feeling and Local Hero amongst others) Bill, especially asked for Rab as he was the first Actor he had ever Directed! Rab has passed the Script on to Bill today and he will read it during his Holiday! Wouldn't it be great if your Deal works out and the Film gets made at the same time!!! Here's a Link to the Award Ceremony..Rab and Bill are toward the end http://streamingportal.multistream.co.uk/baftascotland2009/webstream.html
i spoke with jacko earlier on the phone and he says it's a cool place,he can't quite believe he's playing there !.
from what he tells me it's a great venue with a good crowd. besides which,i've always had a soft spot for liverpool-ever since my dad took me when i was a boy. me and the missus were up there just recently for one of those citybreaks. as for the size of the stage,it matters not !.you wouldn't believe some of the peculiar places i've played in my time !. as the christy moore lyric goes "from berlin to san fransisco,i've been on before the disco !". my most recent public outing turned out to be for these lovely, sweet old ladies who booked me for a guitar recital.i have seldom had such an appreciative audience. they lavished me with tea and salmon sandwiches and i even got paid !!!!,i could get used to that !. however, they weren't quite so keen on one of my own dissonant guitar pieces.this led me to revise it and i'm still at it. i WILL finish it eventually. ; )
ah yes,i have been mulling over the same thing. my pal,and chief cohort, jacko lives in liverpool so i thought he might like to do it with me.only problem is ... as we're in the acoustic lounge will he be allowed to use the keyboard and his (quite, quite lovely) brian may replica guitar for those more atmospheric passages ?.
