Born and bred in Dartford, Kent, Kevin attended the boys school Mick Jagger graced. The lack of ladies didn't really bother Kev at the time, though what it did to dear Mick you can judge for yourself.
Kevin was actually more concerned that he couldn't join a school football team - rugby only. His sporting passions thwarted, he sought refuge in the pen.
Escaping England, he retreated to a student haven at the fulcrum of the Mid Wales coast. There he moulded his writing self, surrounded by a community of risk-takers, dreamers, drinkers, revolutionaries. And students. To his delight, amongst the madness he was rewarded for his scrawls, but for a while the ride stopped there.
Then one day in the depths of frustration, the Internet brought the lights of London upon him. The times of change swept the dust from his nib and he wrote once more.
These days he freely plays football and speaks to the opposite sex...sometimes one straight after the other. How his younger self is green with envy. Oh, and he performs poetry...sometimes.
His latest writings, things lyrical, critical, poetic and prosaic are at www.kevinpocock.com
And there's some reviews as well.
My new EP, 'In Miracle World', is now online! It has four brand new recordings and you can either listen on my profile or download it absolutely FREE from www. filthylittleangels. com

Melanie Challenger Eleanor Rees Chris McCabe Songdog
Salt poets Eleanor Rees (Andraste's Hair) and Melanie Challenger (Galatea) have both been nominated for this year's Forward Prize for Best First Collection.
Which is reason enough to come and hear them read. Like Eleanor, Chris McCabe is a Salt poet and a Liverpudlian. His collection The Hutton Inquiry is a
powerful examination of language under pressure. Musical refreshment is provided by the excellent Songdog, led by playwright Lyndon Morgan.

Hello Kevin. Despite the fact that I sit next to you at work - indeed, you're sitting next to me right now - I thought I would, nevertheless, communicate with you via the medium of the internet. Right now you're sitting at your desk, surfing the internet, but trying to give off the impression that you're doing something constructive. Just like me then.
