As all artists, I've been influenced by many... I became interested in playing music after hearing the Offspring's Smash. Growing up listening to bands like The Offspring, Green Day, 311, and New Found Glory easily placed me in pop punk bands througout high school... after graduating and heading to college my focus changed a bit. I started to listed to bands like O.A.R. who taught me that you can rock out with an acoustic guitar! HAHA... After failed atempts to start a band in college i started to write a lot of songs on the acoustic. I discovered things with the acoustic that i never thought possible. Ontop of enjoying what i was doing, more and more people were enjoying it as well... i soon found myself listening to jack johnson, and jason mraz a bit more than the pop punk i grew up on... After opening for Jason Mraz in the spring of '05 i knew that the acoustic guitar would be my life long friend. I recently started using loop technology to add different dimensins to my live show... and of course discovered howie day soon after.... where ever music leads me... i'll always count on finding someone new to inspire me to write in a different style....
