About me: Here's the "bio" my agent wrote for me- I hope you like it :)
Kevin Sandusky was born to middle class parents in White Plains New York. Both his father and mother worked as northeast sales managers at IBM, and after noticing an artistic side to their introverted son, they began to encourage him to express himself creatively.
In High School, Kevin struggled with athletics, and since the school had no drama department, he decided to found an after-school improv theatre group called the “Make-it-ups!” The five-member group found it hard to fit into the school as a whole, and decided to take their talents on the road, visiting various retirement and veterans homes as well as primary schools for the deaf. Their hip, colorful jumpsuits and gentle rock and roll anti-drug message developed into a musical revue, and later, a hip-hop dance troupe called “Mari-jua-NO!” Although largely derided by their peers, they frequently began to book engagements at other high schools throughout the tri-state region. For Kevin, it was the opportunity to hone his dramatic talents.
In the tenth grade, Kevin met what would be his first love, Sarah, at the Schenectady School for the Blind. Sarah, who herself was blind, prodded Kevin to try out for local theatre productions, and her patience and encouragement enabled Kevin to score parts in several productions in the Troy Teenagers Theater Company’s productions of “Noises Off,” “Orphans,” “Bus Stop,” and most notably as the jailed homosexual transvestite in “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” Needless to say, “Mari-jua-NO!” suffered, and the group’s most vocal member Josh, a.k.a “Trippin,” accused Kevin’s beloved Sarah of being “just like the Chinese lady that split up Wings, I mean, she just can’t see what she’s done to us. Literally.”
However, it wasn’t until Kevin played the part of the poet “Rodolfo” in RENT, that fortune shined on him. In the audience opening night was the chairman and CEO of the pharmaceutical company Lazisore. “Drip-phyx,” the nations leading herpes medication, made by Lazisore, booked him for a national print and television campaign, and within months, he was not only the butt of numerous late night talk show jokes, but also highly recognizable. Lazicorp had given America the face of herpes, and his name was Kevin Sandusky. His fame on the internet, YouTube, and the hundreds of parodies spawned from his commercial work made him not just a household name, but also a bankable star in his own right.
From there, he booked the plum role of Brooklyn in Damien Cockburn’s Tropic Thunder, which began shooting six months ago in the jungles of Vietnam.
Thank you for adding me. I find it quite amusing that people you want to meet... is yourself. XD <3 for Theatre Kids~! I can't wait to watch Tropic Thunder again with all of the DVD extras so you better put in some adorkableness there :P
