Singer-songwriter Kevin Stonerock was raised in a small town nestled in the hills of East Central Indiana ( population less than 300 since it's founding in the 1830's) in what he describes as a 'Norman Rockwellian' childhood, complete with old men in overalls, swapping tales, spitting tobacco and whittling on a bench in front of the town's only store.
His early musical influences include artists from the folk revival of the early 60’s and country roots artists like Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins. Later influences were the singer-songwriters and harmony-laden acoustic-based groups of the late 60’s and early 70’s. These influences, combined with his rural Midwestern upbringing, have resulted in a multitude of original songs. A melding of folk, roots country and rock with straight-forward, picture-evoking , accessible lyrics performed with an honesty of emotion and refreshingly free of affectation.
With more than 30 years experience as a performing songwriter and actor (in addition to music venue dates, he has logged more than 3,500 performances of his one-man dramatic characterizations and has appeared in a promotional video for a major nation-wide realty chain), Stonerock’s quick wit and affable, down-to-earth style connects with his audience and puts them at ease as if they were carrying on a conversation with an old friend on the front porch. He has performed from coast to coast in venues of all types, from concert halls to living rooms and pretty much everything in between. Guitar Player magazine has deemed his guitar work “strong and inspired”.
Stonerock has released a string of albums over the years, beginning with his debut “Day Before Tomorrow” in 1978 and including his most recent release “Land of a Thousand Smiles”.

Thank you, yes we did! We got some fence painting done and now we're ready to tackle the exterior of the house. My son Clay will be earning some tuition money by helping me out. Wish me luck....Clay's never painted before!
Hi Kevin! Yesterday was only day #1 of the fence installation....work will continue today. Go to my "Home" photos and you'll see the progress. Skye will be very happy. :)
Hi Kevin. Thanks for adding me to your friendslist. Thanks also for your comment (it gave me a blush on my checks). It's up to me to congratulate your voice & your music I really appreciate. Cheers from south of France.
No kidding..."Mine that Bird"???? Not only a very non-traditional name, but how 'bout that grammar?? What the heck does the name even mean???? Kids everywhere will be saying "Mine that bird" instead of "That bird is mine". LOL
