Born in the 20th Century. Picked up the guitar as a teenager, played in bands, recorded, sold CDs "Gangster of Love" in my band Foxx along with alot of large market radio airplay in St. Louis a while back. The requests for airplay were number 1 for many months. Amazingly, that CD has been on ebay the past few years to this day and sells from $120 to $300 around the world! Go figure! Well, we came back home from St. Louis to start over. The core of the band, me and Marty Smilek kept writing and recording and decided to name the band Smilek. Smilek is on my space with music to hear, just click on the link in "my friends" below. With the addition of Bruce Crump (original Molly Hatchet drummer) on drums, we signed with Kivel Records in 1999 and relesed the CD Sentimental Highway. We are no longer with Kivel. A new CD "Stranded" will be released in 2009. For now you can download the first single "All Your Own" for FREE from our website at www.smilek.com I also put out a solo CD in 2004 called Enigma. Oh, I am also attempting to produce another solo CD, so we'll see just how long it takes to finish arguing with myself and complete the project.
