    .. With so many artists putting out CD's, it very rare that you see or hear someone who can stand out amongst the bunch. Well, if you've ever experienced the ministry of Kevon Carter, then you can definitely say that he is truly one of a kind. He has written for the Stellar award winning Dewayne Woods (God Still Heals, You Shall Reap), Kevin Vasser (God's House), Grammy nominated Chicago Mass Choir (Cannot Tell It All, He's Working It Out For Your Good). "I Cannot Tell It All" was also re-recorded by famed southern gospel group, "The Talley Trio". Most recently, he had the opportunity collaborate on some music with songwriter, producer, artist, extraordinaire Donald Lawrence. Kevon is also a past winner of the Albertina Walker Scholarship. .. .. Comfortable with being "behind the scenes" Kevon has always tried to fight the call on his life to be "in front". After much procrastination, Kevon has finally submitted to the will of God, and is releasing his debut project entitled, "PHILIPPIANS 4:13". "PHILIPPIANS 4:13" features the production skills of Daniel Weatherspoon (Donald Lawrence, Shekinah Glory), Loren Mcgee (The Clark Sisters, The Murills), and "Jon Wain" (The Oprah Show). Kevon writes all of his own songs, and takes the writing process very seriously. "I am not gonna blow anyone away with my vocal prowess, lol." "So it is very important that I write songs that reach the heart of the listener". Also, Kevon writes on various topics for this project. "I love praise and worship, but I feel my music should represent who I am as a person." "Yes, I love to worship, but I also love to have fun." When you listen to the music of Kevon Carter, you will praise and worship, but you will also be challenged, and encouraged. God has given Kevon a unique ability to make you laugh, while at the same time giving you a message. .. .. Writes songs that the average church choir can sing, which is a lost art. He also believed in me from the jump!)     This is why Sista Gurl do what we do, we are not afraid to talk about molestation.  The staff of Sista Gurl was out spending the word of awareness about molestation. When some people hear what we have to say, they claim up, they didn’t want to hear anymore and walk away. Neatness to say most of those people who walk away have children somewhere nearby. There was one person who touched my heart that day. After a mother walked away from our booth a little girl I believed to be the woman’s daughter. She have to be somewhere around the age of 9 to 11.  She stopped and asked me “what does molestation means?’  I give her a quick answer where I hope she understood where I was coming from. I replied “molestation mean when someone touch you where it make you feel uncomfortable “.The little girl gave such a disgusting look. We was blown away that she never hear of the word molestation or she didn’t know what it meant. I say all of this to say, parents please take time to talk to your babies about this topic, MOLESTATION. Those talks may save your children’s life. If you have any comments please feel free to express yourself.
