MySpace a place for friends

...and we're done. This is it, the last KEYS MONEY LIPSTICK.
We've reached our half-century so after exactly 50 nights and hundreds of clubkids tearing up the dancefloor to the most exciting new sounds, we're doing what very few ever do and bowing out at our peak.

The last few months have seen some of the busiest and best nights we've ever put on - there's no better time to to end it than now, after 3 perfect years. When KML began Manchester was awash with clubnights playing ropey dadpunk, crummy Madchester and cheap retro indie. Now the city is full of nights playing only new music, and even the NME and clubs in London have nicked our slogans! We're proud to have had such an influence on the clubscene, and to have brought some of the best bands to play here, as well as gathering together hundreds of the most up-for-it kids in the North each and every month.

Massive thanks go out to Manchester's greatest alternative venue, the Star & Garter, for hosting us during this time. To the NME, Dazed & Confused, the Guardian, M.E.N., and all the other papers and magazines who covered us in this time. To all the amazing bands we had down to play, from Teenagers In Tokyo to The Ting Tings, Dutch Uncles to Bearsuit, they were all awesome. Biggest thanks of all go to you guys, the punters, for looking great, dancing amazingly and for being the best set of clubkids we could have ever hoped for.
