About KGBlues

The KGBlues formed in 1996 by Pete Vardous and Kelly Goodwin and is comprised of Northern Ohio's most accomplished musicians. At a KGBlues gig the first thing you will notice is the energy the band exudes. With a neverending cast of players, you'll be drawn in by powerfull vocals and intrument solos. Their groovin' feel and funk laced blues will have you dancin' in the aisles.

The band is fronted by drummer/singer Kelly Goodwin - (a 30 year veteren of the Cleveland music circuit.) The bands signature sound comes from Pete Vardous - (In your face guitar that is as fun to watch as it is to hear.) Bassist is Len (Butch) Gavlin solid driving bottom, also appearing at times is Doug Johns - (voted best up and coming bass player by guitar player magazine, played with national acts such as Dweezil Zappa, and local stars such as Neil Zazza.) Utah Witherspoon - (A jazz and blues saxaphone afficionado, Utah gets the crowd going!) Hammond Organ at it's very best by Mark leach - (Mark is one of the most sought after musicians in the world. Mark has recorded with Double Trouble, and just finished recording with Dr. John as well as the Buddy Miles Express. There are too many other guest musicians to name but don't miss Kim Massie when she is in town! Jason Greene also appears with us from time to time when he's home from New York. Can't say enought to describe this fantastic guitar player and great friend. He also appears on our cd. You need to check him out !
