Sascha Konietzko Born in Hamburg, West Germany is the founder of the band KMFDM. Spawned in
1984, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal with
their signature industrial sound. Having relocated to Chicago in the early 90's,
KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax! Records when the label was at its peak. Rapidly
evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring, the band has
redefined themselves with each new release. Over 22 years of non-stop effort
toward KMFDM has somehow still afforded him the time to be involved in several
other projects (MDFMK, Excessive Force, Schwein), as well as to make a name for
himself as producer, remixer and publisher.
Dean Garcia
Born in Kentish Town England. He is internationally recognized as one of the
founding members of Curve and the musical mastermind responsible for the bands
wall of sound production style. Dean wrote and Co Produced recorded/engineered
all of the music for Curve's 7 albums. In addition to Curve, Dean was also a
member of The Eurythmics from 81-83, played bass on Touch and Be Yourself
Tonight, worked with Mick Jagger, Ian Dury, Sinead O' Connor and has been part
of many extensive world tours. Dean has also done Production mixes for The Cure,
Saffron Sprackling, Paul Van Dyke, Indochine, Mekano Set and Jeff Beck.
Lucia Cifarelli
Born in New York, she was the co-founding member and lead vocalist and writer of
Drill, the dark alternative rock band that came to life in the late nineties.
Signed to A&M Records, Drill garnered critical acclaim with their song "What You
Are" which was featured on the "Empire Records" movie soundtrack. Drill toured
extensively opening and headlining across the globe along side Marilyn Manson,
Gang Of Four, MC5, Stabbing Westward, God Lives Underwater, 7 Mary 3, Sister
Machine Gun and numerous others. After Drill disbanded, Lucia joined MDFMK. The
side project of KMFDM mastermind Sascha Konietzko. Along with Sascha and Tim
Skold, MDFMK toured the US and Japan and was acclaimed for their futuristic
sound and anime style. Most notably their custom made 600 pound 9 ft. tall
terminator style guitar playing robot. When Sascha decided to reform KMFDM he
invited Lucia on board to collaborate and she hasn't looked back since. In
Between recording and touring with KMFDM, Lucia also recorded her debut solo
album "From The Land Of Volcanos" with Ian Stanley (Tears For Fears) producing.
KGC (Konietzko, Garcia, Cifarelli) is the brain child
of three of the most trail-blazing underground artists around: Dean Garcia the
musical genius behind CURVE, known for his monolith guitars and layered
production style, that envelopes you with its tsunami of instrumentation, Sascha
Konietzko of KMFDM, whose innovative and unorthodox approach toward production have garnered him with international acclaim as one of the foremost pioneers of
industrial/ultra heavy beat and Lucia Cifarelli of KMFDM and DRILL, whose vocal and lyrical talents go from provocative to menacing in the beat of a rivet-head
lovelorn heart. The three met by chance through a mutual fan who played conduit.
However unlikely it sounds, that was the beginning of a year-long, Trans-
Atlantic session swap that spawned their debut album. The three have created a
haunting, twisted landscape of sound that is both hypnotic, aggressive and
surreal. A maelstrom of emotions laced with the underbelly of the anti-hero.
With their mutual affinity of all things odd, the album marries their individual
influences and births a truly unique love child that draws you in with cinematic
splendor, where the ever present momentum of guitars and electronics push harder
and deeper, luring the listener further and further into their strange world of darkness

- KGC
i can't believe is going to be almost 2 year since the KGC album came knocking to my house... woow...it seems like yesterday. Is there any chance for a second (glorious, of course) album?
I really love all your other works besides KMFDM and ect. The production values in all of Sasha's work is just incredible and it brought a question up for me I was hoping you guys could answer. I wanted to know what Sasha put into producing this music and all the music he works on. Like, what does he think about? What programs or what equipment does he use to make the songs and the sounds that he does..
