About me:
We present ..."Concerts at The Captain's House".. a series of house concerts at our residence. These concert/parties feature Celtic and Folk artists from across the region and Canada. These concerts are by invitation only. Please note: "Concerts at the Captain's House" is simply the name we have chosen to describe our private party/concerts. These parties are NOT a business nor are they a business related activity. They are strictly a "hobby" for us, and a way for us to share the music we love with our friends, family and acquaintances. They are simple gatherings of friends and guests in a lovely setting to enjoy live acoustic music, fellowship, food and fun. Our concert parties are officially free (or else it might be considered a business) although voluntary contributions (suggested donation of $14 per person with a RSVP or $18 the night of with out a RSVP) are accepted on behalf of the performers. These concerts/parties are by invitation only, people wanting more information or to be added to our mailing list can contact us through MYSPACE. We will then provide you with necessary information. You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM's MySpace Profile Editor!
Who I'd like to meet:
Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, The Dali Lama and John Joe Kelly: I love using this space as a way to stay connected with friends who live a distance from us. I also love using this space as a way of re-connecting with friends from our past. I would love to continue to meet and be involved with people who share a common love of traditional Celtic music and song. I have always felt as though I was born in the wrong place and have long envied those lucky enough to live in places like The Canadian Maritime Provinces, or Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. Now through this place we can feel connected and share our music and songs!

Dear KELTICGRASSHOPPER,

Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... sing & dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...

When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...

Love can drive... in a simple way... everything

We are connected

Estimada/o KELTICGRASSHOPPER,

Estamos conectados...

Thanks for your photo comment! Well, it's one of the dogwoods, Cornus Sanguinea Midwinter Fire, and very aptly named I think! :)

Hope you had a great Christmas and good wishes for new year 2009. I'm just back from a few days with my dad who lives near Manchester. Had a lovely relaxing time.

Me too - but for me, at this stage, it's all about my kids - I just love to see them happy with their presents!

I'm really looking forward to seeing my dad too. Can't wait for that.
