Why KGSR? Wouldn't you too jump at a chance to work somewhere were Radiohead, Aretha Franklin and Lyle Lovett pop up back-to-back-to-back? Every night from 6-10pm we're on-air playing music, talking about music, and maybe pushing a few envelopes along the way. I truly believe that whether it's someone listening on a five-minute run to the grocery or someone hunkered down at home in front of an expensive hi-fi receiver, Austinites enjoy the chance to be challenged a little. Along with a healthy helping of your favorite KGSR tunes, we're also offering up sneak previews of what might just be your new favorite song or new favorite band. Interspersed within the show - and particularly at 9:40pm in what we call "The Last Twenty" - look for splashes of new music, local music, and gems from the vault handpicked to represent the songs we're most excited about right now. Some of it's heartbreaking, some of it's funny. Some of it's loud Les Paul-driven rock, some of it's quietly picked acoustic music. It's all music to be passionate about. It's 6-10pm weeknights. We couldn't be more thrilled if you'd give it a shot.
