Khalito has been writing lyrics, recording, and performing his material for more than 19 years with absolutely no plans to stop. He was hungry from a young age in the streets of Philly, putting on his own shows as a kid. Eventually, he came in contact with artists he could relate to, and crews such as Fiscale Productions were formed. Khalito worked extensively with producer Rashad, recording a number of tracks over years of studio grind. Through these networks he performed shows with well-known artists of the time, such as the Poor Righteous Teachers & Naughty by Nature. After living in Philly for most of his life, Khalito moved down to the Tampa Bay area of Florida. At this point, he began meeting a number of new people involved in the music scene, working with crews such as Santiagold Productions, opening for acts such as the Souls of Mischief, & being featured at events such as the Ruff Ryders Bikefest. Eventually he would meet up with aspiring hip-hop producer Blitz. They seemed to see eye to eye on a lot of ideas and had similar goals to be reached. With this being realized, together they collaborated on & recorded an extensive library of tracks under Etheric Records.
Khalito has an impressive amount of work under his belt. A portion of his discography follows: Khalito's Way: The EP (Etheric Records) Khalitos Way: H20 (Santiagold), The 1st Wave (Etheric) The 2nd Wave (Etheric), & The 3rd Wave (Etheric). A highlight of exposure came for this artist when Khalitos music was featured on the smash hit Comedy Central program Chappelles Show as well as on the best selling television DVD of all time, Chappelles Show: Season 1.
Khalito aspires to spread his music across the globe through radio, television, press, live shows, and the internet, & to be recognized for what he has accomplished, while at the same time promoting free thought and doing what is possible to provide positive influence upon the minds of the population. Even with this in mind, a great part of Khalitos passion is in other arts of performance & entertainment. Once these initial goals are reached, he plans to move into the movie production scene, writing and acting in film, developing animation, and writing books as well. Music is only the beginning, and the amount of potential in the character named Khalito has yet to be measured.
