Khaos Faktory: 21st Century Industrial Anarchy. Khaos Faktory fuses metal and punk-inspired guitars and beats with electronic and tribal rhythms in ways untried by its peers. The lyrics address the darker side of life in general and the search for answers through personal empowerment and self-reliance. The band has released two albums, Sinthetic Alchemy (2008, ADP Records) and Sinthetic Alchemy 2.0 (2009, Khaos Records) and has appeared on the Sweat movie soundtrack and Skratch Magazine Compilation v. 44, as well as being featured on numerous music websites. KF was established in 2006 by Mike Black as a one-man side project of his band 80-Proof Throwdown, and self-released a 5-song demo EP titled Open For Business in the summer of that year. Near the end of 2007, Black recruited help from former 13 B.C. bandmates Dave Spencer and Alex Rosado to reform Khaos Faktory as a full-fledged band. Sinthetic Alchemy was released on April 20, 2008 via A Dark Philosophy Records (ADP) and featured the first incarnation of the band, which conisisted of Black on vocals/guitars/programming, Dave Spencer on lead vocals, Brian Freisen on lead guitars, Das on synthesizers/rhythm guitars/bass, and Matt Pyro on bass. Later on in 2008 Ryan McClellan of JaDEd EyeZ Entertainment took over management of the band and formed Khaos Records with Black. Several members of the band were shuffled around and new members were taken in, and Sinthetic Alchemy was completely remastered and expanded with several new tracks, resulting in Sinthetic Alchemy 2.0, Khaos Records' second LP release since its formation. KF's current lineup includes Dave on vocals, Mike on guitars/synth, Brandon on guitars, Shawn on bass, and Greg on drums.
