Khaos Theory was formed in April 2009 by guitarists/"synthists" toshiro and Tetsu (originally called Echo Chamber). Both musicians were formally part of Jrock band Laputa who were popular in the south of England from 2005-2007. In fact, Laputa's bassist Jun helped toshiro and Tetsu on some of the early demos, before being replaced with full time bassist Shuya. A few weeks later Gomi joined on drums and Echo Chamber was complete.
After recording a few covers and original songs, the future was looking bright for this young band. After a tragic event that caused tetsu to leave the band, many discussions between the remaining members took place and they decided to carry on with tetsu's parents blessing. Changing their name to Khaos Theory (and toshiro reverting to a variation of his old Laputa name) they decided to change their sound, going from a straight rock/metal band to one incorporating the styles and genres that influence them, ranging from metal to classical, pop, with a heavy cyberpunk sound. They now consider themselves a predominantly cyberpunk/electronic band. Keep an eye out for this upcoming band, with their sound always changing, you never know what they're gonna come up with next!
