SHIVA'S LAST DANCE is the acoustic side of Kharen Hildebrand and Robert Morency, showing in this project their affection for Folk Rock and Pop music of the late '60s and early '70.
Opting for the simple instrumentation of multi-layered guitars and vocals via the musical arrangements of Rob and the smooth, soulful voice of Kharen, SHIVA'S LAST DANCE is the recreation of what they refer to as their "musical vortex", an environment where the balance of pleasing melodies and evocative lyrics are key ingredients for creating their own nostalgic musical brew or giving a new twist to an old standard.
True to their "old school" approach in sound, songs are recorded at home with production kept to a minimum leaving it all to the "synergy fader" which is usually cranked up pretty high.
