KHEMEÏA est peut-être le seul groupe à évoluer dans la mouvance “metal” tout en se situant résolument dans l'héritage de MAGMA.
D'abord par l'adoption d'un langage particulier fortement inspiré du Kobaïen. L'utilisation de la voix comme instrument est une des originalités du groupe : J. Nechtschein alterne des passages aériens, où les vocalises empruntent aux traditions de l'Inde et du Pakistan ou au chant diphonique de Mongolie, et les cris gutturaux du metal.
Aussi NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN se révèle être une influence du combo, au moins autant que TOOL ou SEPULTURA.
KHEMEÏA crée ainsi une alchimie bouillonante et positive.
KHEMEÏA develops an original approach of rock and metal music by using invented language (influenced by MAGMA's Kobaïan) and treating the voice as an instrument : J. Nechtschein makes use of Mongol diphonic singing and Indian chanting techniques, and aerial melodies alternate with metal / hardcore shouts. Thus NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN could be claimed as an influence for the band, at least as much as TOOL or SEPULTURA, which allows KHEMEÏA to create a fiery and positive music.
