About me: Kiana S. Dancie, born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Atlanta, was blessed with the gift of gab and great sense of humor! Her beaming personality and lively, sarcastic humor have drawn attention and laughs from others since her youth. She has performed in many plays as a young student and has served on the panel of the TV production Mocha Brown as a member of the Houston Queens of Comedy. Both Friends and family alike encouraged her to showcase her raw talent by taking it to the stage.
Despite growing up in a single parent dwelling, and experiencing several silent months of child molestation at the hand of a family friend, Dancie has excelled, using the tragedy as fuel for her personal achievement with the devout support of her family. She quickly gained popularity with her impromptu performances and has played at many venues across the country. Audiences applaud her no-nonsense “in your face” routines time & time again. She has been privileged to open for some of the biggest names in comedy, including, Mo’Nique, Sheryl Underwood, Alex Thomas, Hope Flood, Renaldo Rey, Luenell, Shawn Harris, Ronnie Jordan, Kier Spates, Ali, Black Prince and many more. As the producer of Komedy Kocktails, a column published in Houston Style Magazine and Style and Substance Magazine; she has interviewed many comedians including Dave Chappell, Eddie Griffin, Mo’Nique, EarthQuake, Rickey Smiley, Tony Roberts, Sommore, D.L. Hughley and many more.
Dancie obtained her B.A. degree in Marketing from Georgia Southern University in 2001. A gifted performer, writer and host, she has collaborated with several agencies and coordinated fund-raising initiatives, celebrity birthday bashes, basketball games, parties and other special events including homecoming activities at various universities. Always armed with plenty of dramatic stories to share about her colorful life experiences, she is also a graduate of the John Casablanca modeling school and exemplifies the confidence and poise necessary for success in the entertainment industry.
