I love to go out to local music shows when I can, as time and life permits. I'm laid back and easy to get along with.
I have a huge mixed family - lots of brothers and sisters. It's funny, my family thought music would draw me away from settling down, starting my life, starting a family... When actually, music is what LED me to the life I have now. Happily married, we have a gorgeous daughter. I met my husband at a local singer/songwriter showcase. So yes, music brought us together - led us to each other. Just when you think there's no one out there that's perfect for you... There he is. And you wouldn't even guess it. Open minds, open hearts, no judgements.
People amaze me in how strong they are, what they've gone through, the challenges they face. We all have a destiny. I admire people willing to take a chance on their dreams even if they know there's a 99% chance of failure. You still have to attempt, you have to try. The worst feeling in the world is regret. Don't be that 70 year old who sits in their chair pondering, "What if I hadn't been so scared? What if I'd chosen to follow my dreams?" I don't want to live a life of regret and what-ifs. That's why I do the things I do.
I revel in sharing my talent and songs with anyone willing to listen. Whether it's at an open mic, a large venue, an intimate party, coffee shop, festival... Just identifying with one person and connecting with them makes it all worthwhile. We are humans, we are still just animals.
