Formed in the summer of '06 Kick Riot played their first gig to a packed audience at the Lamp in September that year. Since then they have supported a number of signed acts and played a headline slot at Club NME Hull.
The band are constantly playing gigs around England and are eager to unleash their music on the rest of Great Britain!!!
"Kick Riot, a young band from Hull, their sound was pure 1977 punk, think Sex Pistols and early Clash fused with the sounds of modern acts such as Pigeon Detectives. They sounded like The Libertines were supposed to sound.
Their set was full of rambunctious, riotous yet catchy songs, short snappy punk of the highest order. Their final song 'Lager Lout' was a real highlight and got everyone jumping around at the front of the stage.
If the venue had been that little bit fuller there'd have been sweat dripping from the walls. These guys were equal to any of the headline bands that have appeared here over the last three months and are most definitely the most exciting band emerging from the Hull scene at the moment. One to watch out for in the coming months."

"Vocals steeped in personality and guitars like a ratchet in a church bell"
