    After playing over 100 gigs in Germany, Russia, England, Norway and others, the live act was tighter than ever, but at the merchandise booth, people were more interested in a disc that did not exist than the T-shirts. This was when the band realised it was time to stop touring and focus on a debut album. Some local studios and X-number of known producers who worked with Sweden's biggest pop/rock acts, were tested. There were discussions with world famous mixers who mixed the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Julian Casablancas, but the chemistry was not there or they simply found it hard to justify a collaboration in economic terms, despite the fact that the band had been offered contracts by various publishers in Germany during the European tour. Contracts that the band politely but firmly declined, on the grounds that no one but the band should have the rights to the songs. Finally, Kid Galahad together, realized after a year long identity-crisis that they didn't have to rely on anybody but themselves nor did they feel the need buy their sound. The band built their own studio in a rented basement in Borås, Sweden, experimented and created the album that is now called "Yesbox". The album contains eight tracks, and is written, recorded and produced by Kid Galahad themselves. The album is mixed by Christian Svedin, brother of the band's drummer Marcus Svedin, and is released through their own label.

    Nu är det dags för 2012 års upplaga av GP Scen, tävlingen där du som västsvenskt band eller artist kan få spela i finalen på Järntorget under Way out west-lördagen den 11 augusti samt vinna studiotid med Oskar Lindberg i Svenska grammofonstudion och promotion av Skiva.     Det blir fjärde året vi kör tävlingen och förra året var antalet deltagare över 350. Helt fantastiskt! Kan vi slå det? Redan nu ligger www.gp.se/scen öppen för registrering och ni Myspace-vänner får därmed några dagars försprång gentemot andra. Gå in, läs reglerna, ladda upp låten och se till att få röster! Så ses vi kanske i augusti!
    I reglerna står bland annat att ni måste vara verksamma i Västsverige, till alla er andra får jag be om ursäkt för att jag tagit er tid.
