Leeds University, 2004. Local lad Ralph Pelleymounter embarks on a music degree. He craves musical collaborators and discovers that course mates Will and Josh are just the men to accompany his then acoustic folk ramblings. Gigs are played to wild applause. Joe soon allies himself to the cause, and shortly after Pete and Ian enter the fray. The jigsaw is complete and Kid iD’s musical hydra now has all 6 heads…
Since 2006 Kid iD have been instigating rhythmic bodily writhing in venues across the UK with their exciting and invigorating sonic stew. After winning the reputable Bright Young Things competition at Easter that year, Kid iD quickly established themselves on the Leeds circuit, headlining the Cockpit in January 2007.
Kid iD's sound soon traveled nationwide, selling out shows from Camden to Glasgow; 2007 saw Kid iD play alongside Pendulum and Coldcut at Bloom Festival. Their stock has increased markedly since then; 2008 featured appearances with DJ Food, Mark Ronson, Gallows, The Cribs and Turin Brakes, not forgetting their storming sets at both Reading and Leeds!
With BBC airplay, live sessions on Kerrang Radio, an exciting debut album and national magazine coverage, Kid iD have gone from strength to strength, rapidly gaining a reputation for their original and upbeat performances. Kid iD are now based in London and are on a mission to up the ante and pleasure more eardrums. Let the games begin!

"Why you waiting for the bombs to fall..." - my new addiction is Cold Skin :D Will upload my mobile phone's slightly dodgy quality but okay sound videos soon - I have been very lax, I admit, my mobile's spilling over with unsaved-elsewhere Kid iD entries. Missed Dying To Get Home and what I already have fixed in my mind as Just a Cup of Blood, though I note it's Cup of Blood, on Saturday. But loved the tight and more rocky sound of Cold Skin which nonetheless preserves the Kid iD close harmonies and mixed up rhythms (:D) - though I miss the brass ever so slightly (and fiddle) :( Nice to see, though, that Ian is really wearing that guitar now! And it's always nice to see Ralph breaking out into smiles mid-set. So glad Lonesome Place got a decent crowd singalong , too! Was a confident set, I thought. When's the new EP out? I had the pleasure of meeting Dan (Smith), whom I recognised from visiting your page pretty much every day :P - he looked surprised I knew who he was, little did he know what kind of Kid iD fan I am, ha! Anyway, just wanted to say, instrumentation changes aside, if you just keep doing what you're doing, writing how you're writing, the future looks exciting. Line-up changes must be hard but judging from the new stuff you seem to be more than handling it and delivering stuff that sounds fresh and energised but, dare I say it, also maybe more open to being marketed. Here’s to it continuing for as long as you have the music in you (hopefully a long time)! And waiting for new gig dates on your page, by the way –can’t remember when I last saw it with nothing upcoming… x

That wanker's me Mr Redway. Whatever you do, don't put the little wanker of a child wearing sunglasses on the top row of your friends. He deserted the band after all. I never did.
Hi kid i.d. i miss you all. please change me to top friend instead of that wanker wearing the sunglasses. hope recording went well. i love you will xxxx
Wow! Sounds like a bumper edition EP, cannot wait to get my hands on it :D Yeah, I know the Coma song (play it on repeat on my mobile video - have yet to put it up on YouTube). Thanks for the info, always a pleasure to come and see you.x
Hey, what's the "Kid iD Demo" user profile? Great gig last night in a cool venue - hats off to Ear Music! Good sound, pretty polished set andthe new s tuff is so exciting! What was the name of the first new one you played, I particularly loved that one, could be an epic. Please tell me it's one of the ones you're going to record on the new EP. And well done to Ian on the electric guitar and Joe on keys! x
