"If you go by the lyrical content of the title track from “To The End of the Beginning”…
“we are Kid Midi!
I am Kid Midi!
and you are Kid Midi!”
Interesting to see inclusiveness when it comes to any artist or musician. Most of us are wallflowers deep down and sometimes afraid of the crowds they have to perform in front of. As a live performer, Kid Midi will work his ass off until he wins you over. If it means throwing candy in the crowd for you to catch as if it were Mardi Gras, he will. If it means climbing to the top of a post in a venue he performs in, he will. If it means crowd surfing, he will do that, too. The point is, he will win you over. If you’re into electronica, techno or a staunch rocker somehow what he does appeals equally to those musical factions. To the point where you’ll be wanting to crank up his CDs loudly, just to feel like you were at a Kid Midi show all over again."
"I saw you at Artmosphere, that was a great show! It was so damned good I didn't even notice I wasn't holding a beer!!"
~Captain Esh Youth - Foul Stench of Youth
"There's something about the sound of Kid Midi that puts you in a nostalgic frame of mind. Their fascinating blend of electronic music owes a debt to the dance sounds we grew up on in the ’80s filtered through a decidedly contemporary musical sensibility. Toss in a little bit of rock ’n’ roll, a little punk and you've got yourself an infectious combination. No matter what you pin down as their influences, their music will make you move. It's a high-energy, exuberant sound that will get you on your feet."

"Casio Kaleidoscope Mind-o-naut, Kid Midi kicks digital disco suicide..."
~Dege Legg - independent weekly
"...this is a band that really appreciates fun — they threw friendship bracelets (remember those, kids of the ’80s?) at the crowd! In case you were curious, mine is pink. Their sound is tough to describe … Kid Midi lists themselves on MySpace under the “2-step, Big Beat and House” categories. Really their sound is fun and manic... so you’re better off checking them out for yourself."
~Anna Purdy - times of acadiana
"Kid Midi is a band that jumped out at us. If you are looking for upbeat, high energy, dance tracks with catchy vocals & hooks then Kid Midi is your band. The music speaks for itself as it is unique and these guys are creating their own lane... They are based out of Lafayette, Louisiana. Kid Midi is the type of band that you can book for a show and just have them play all night. It is very impressive how these guys have the ability to present dance/electronic music in a whole fresh way that has alot of commercial appeal. Some favorite tracks that really stand out were “Grundel” and “Blag Blag Blag.” Friday & Saturday nights belong to Kid Midi!"
~SkopeMag.com - april 2009 "artists 2 watch"
"Kid Midi is a firecracker... they rocked the Dragon's Den with the energy worthy of a stadium show. The lead singer threw his hair everywhere, and sang in a sort of 80's pop style that fit the tracks perfectly. The rhythm section was a laptop computer, which the lead singer operated to begin and end the tracks. The guitarist played jagged sixteenth note rhythms that complemented the tracks well. The lead singer wildly jumped around the stage falling to his knees, getting up and falling over on his back, psychotically whispering into the microphone. All in all it was a crazed performance that I couldn't help but love."
~Kevin O'Day - neworleans.com
"...the act that really won the spirit stick was Kid Midi. Imagine trying to get from Meat Loaf to the Human League via Judas Priest. It was hard to tell if this act was a half-joking or half-serious, launching into a vehement reading of Technotronic's Pump up the Jam at one point, but Kid Midi is all awesome in my book."
"...if you are looking for something completely different, Kid Midi will be available...to blow your mind with his backstage-at-the-circus, metal/electro-pop extravaganza."
