KID MONTANA was at first a one-man operation for Jean-Marc Lederman who releases in 1982 his first record: the 12" EP "Statistics Mean Nothing When You Get On The Wrong Plane".
In 1984, Dudley Kludt took over the obviously limited vocal talent of JML and Revisiting Yalta was released on Antler Records.
In 1985, Crepuscule signed the duo and a mini-LP (The Las Vegas Gold Rush) produced by Telex's Marc Moulin came out, soon followed by a 12" "Love May Be Blind".
1986 sees the release of Temperamental, Kid Montana's glorious swansong, and its "Spooky" and "Still Color Waiting" singles.
Late 1986, the band just signed off peacefully. Enjoy the music.
A pleasure to hear it all again 22 years later. I have spent half my life plugging your KM stuff alongside other Crepuscule so quickly ignored by our foolish Music press! Thanks for making a cracking pop record. I saw a vinyl copy in a record shop in Brussels at the weekend - smiled at the 15EURO price tag and I thought to myself "I paid £5. 99 in Virgin Megastore in 1986/7"
Best wishes from New Zealand... big ups for the connection... Hey J.M. your tunes are magic, and absolutely timeless... keep it kumin' man, cause we're definitely gonna keep listenin' :-)
Compared to a lot of the other early 80s music videos on YouTube the video quality of the Still Colours Waiting & Spooky clips are really quite good. Especially considering Kid Montana weren't really a major band. Depeche Mode have clips from that era that look much much worse these days and they've been shoving out compilation videos and DVD's for years.
It also displays the innocence of the 1980's when you could feature a sheep in your video and people wouldn't think worse of you because of it.

Hehe... Well actually I try to believe I have no specific boundaries if it comes to (musical) taste ... But when I saw & heard your version of 'Spooky' for the first time I liked it so much I kept it and thus I still have it somewhere on a old VHS tape waiting to be digitalized. ;) Hope to cu soon somewhere!
Your "Love May Be Blind" single and "Temperamental" album got a lot of rotation on my turntable back in the '80s. Loved each and every track, especially the duet with Anna Domino. Is LTM planning a compilation any time soon? I'm still colour waiting for one ...
