Kid Moxie is a Los Angeles-based music project with infective songs that blend powerful beats, pop sweetness, haunting melodies, and wry lyrics - a combination that lead the Kid to coin the term "Gutter Pop". In the 2007 EP release, Human Stereo, the Kid crafted songs through a variety of pop, new wave, dance, and classical influences that mesh new and classic synths, slide guitar, violin and electronic beats. Human Stereo is currently available worldwide through online distribution.
While honing songs and playing at Los Angeles events, Kid Moxie began working with producer Daniel Hoal (also producer to Nancy Sinatra). In the beginning of 2009, the Kid completed it's first full-length album for Undo Records/EMI (Greece), Selector, coming out in June, 2009.
Capturing the attention of many different musicians, Kid Moxie has worked with artists around the world on various remixes of songs from Human Stereo. Serafim Tsotsonis' remix of "Champagne" appears on the Hilton Hotels compilation Press R for Galaxy Bar, released by KLIK Records, while his remix for "Tsunami" is on heavy rotation on European radio stations. The English-based Motorbikes in Tokyo created a remix of "Ma Romance D'Hiver," which will soon be appearing on the compilation Electronically Yours (Undo/EMI). The Los Angeles-based musicians Us Vs. Them created remixes of "Disco Minotaur" which are also available for sale online.
Kid Moxie's song "Ma Romance D' Hiver" was featured on The L Word in its season 4 premiere. Their video for "Hollywood Smile," directed by Locke Webster, is currently in rotation on MTV/Logo TV and won a slot on Logo's Top 10 Videos for March '09. In Greece, the "Hollywood Smile" video and "Ma Romance D'Hiver," directed by Danielle Eskinazi, are airing on both MAD TV and MTV Greece. Songs from Human Stereo and the upcoming Selector are being played on radio stations globally, from Greece (Best FM 92.6 in Athens, Greece) to the UK (Robo Cast Radio, BBC) to the US (Hunnypot Radio, WomensMusic, KXLU, Los Angeles). The Kid was also featured in Curve Magazine's music issue (July 2008), and also in Diva Magazine (UK - August ‘08), Salome Magazine, Empowerment4Women, Lifo, Vima and Monopolis Magazine in Greece.

Hi there. I don't even know where to begin with the album, I do know there isn't a duff second. It's even better than I thought it could be, and it's more concise than some of this years electro releases. Did I detect a subtle nod to Angelo Badalamenti on 'Love in Transit', all those big twangy guitars. 'Tsunami' is a good choice as a single, and I approve of the video. The track itself have a wonderful dreamlike quality with almost echoes of the P-Kax theme.
The production & mix is incredible, and a big thumbs up for 'Polytechnic'. It's good to see you mixing styles around, and not just produce a straight down the line electro album, dare I suggest you break out the polkadot skirts!!!
Congratulations on making something of real worth, I love every second of it. xxx
Guess what.... the eagal has landed!!!! A big thumbs up to all that is gold & shiny.
I just got home from work, and a package was waiting for me. Right now I'm listening to the album, and I'm loving every second of it. I has been worth the wait, and dare I say it, it blows much of the currant crop of electro out of the water.
Hey friends. Come to our badass Masquerade Party! great music, tons of fun, and free beer & wine (if you tip the bartenders). Saturday OCTOBER 24th @ The Unknown Theater.
