Music is so elemental to so many aspects of my life - recognizing a song to a particular experience - but best yet - it means alot to me to to take my music experiences and present them on the radio to spread the joy that good music can bring to my community.

Heroes
Well I think I have a new hero!
My friend Senor Bob was walking down the streets of Chicago in front of the Cultural Center and heard a woman screaming that someone had grabbed her purse.
Well our here to be stuck his foot out and tripped the perpetrater then sat on him until the police came.
I guess the hardest part was avoiding the lady who was beaning the young theif with her umbrella.
Ya see it just takes a regular person helping a regular person to be a hero - you're my hero senor Bob!
About me: Hi! I'm Momma C and I host a family oriented radio program called Kid's Kamp. The show airs Saturday mornings on WDBX Community Radio for Southern Illinois. (WDBX.ORG on 'puter)
My son known on our show as DJ FESTUS, is 7 1/2 yers old and assists me with the show selection. As he is learning to read, he is also helping out on the show too.
We play an entertaining eclectic mix of music that includes the current trend of family oriented tunes (aka Dan Zanes/Eric Herman etc) with music my parents played for me as a child (big band and classical for example)along with what the world has to offer children and their families (anything Putomayo is always a winner and anything Sweet Honey In The Rock too.)
Note however we do not limit the set list to exclusively children's music. - phamily phriendly more like
"Wake Up you Noisyheads!"
Who I'd like to meet: BARACK OBAMA
I cried when I saw so many people converge on Grant Park for his acceptance.
Being from Chicago originally, I would never have thought the day would come when south west and north sides would bet together for ANYTHING - and what a good reason.
HOPE!
