"In their 'Introduction', Kids Of 87 ask "We're all gonna die tonight, will you be content?", a bold and more than slightly morbid opener to an album of sub Gallows hardcore. Of course, no one is wishing for these guys to meet their mortality, but they do play as though the rockets are constantly locked on their position. There is undeniable snarl to their lyrics, as though they are answering a call to arms and are the only ones doing so. Such Great Strength spits, "We were born as men, we will fight fires", and if we are to take their band name literally these 20/21 year olds are ready to take on the world. Contemporaries like Fighting With Wire are beginning to take on the American indie rock sound with our own British slant on things. The Kids... aren't quite ready for the battle just yet, but there's a musical intelligence and passion here that may be enough to carry them into the big leagues." Narc Magazine.
