I was born on a soap box. I also enjoy dancing and making out with chubby 50 year old men for charity (that volunteerism thing again).

Anything electronic, I am a reformed raver/club kid. Tracy Young, D:Fuse, Luxxury, Dirty Sanchez, NIN, heck I even go back to Lords of Acid (there is no better music to get naked with). When I need to chill, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and other 80's type stuff. For some reason I also love The Strokes, yes I know its not cool anymore, sue me.
Movies
Documentaries; Micheal Moore, S.R. Bindler, Kate Davis, Terry Swigoff's "Crumb" is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen. Art house, Indie films, basically all the stuff associated with the "intellectual elite". Some mainstream works, I thought "Syriana" was outstanding.
Television
Yuck, noooo. TV is a vapid wasteland.

Oh holy crap, lets just do authors, k? Does anyone remember the line from "Good Will Hunting", when Matt Damon says, "one day you are going to wake up and realize you spend $150k on an education you could have gotten for 37 cents in late fees from the public library"? Well I have both the store bought education and the auto didactic one. Hello world, its me! I am new still fairly new to this lovely hamlet on Lake Erie. About a year ago you might have found me badmouthing Cleveland, but lately I have to take it all back, I have met some amazing people. I don't know where these blossoming friendships will lead, but you all have a place in my heart for sure. I read Kierkegaard, Camus, Kafka and histories about the fall of Rome. I can intelligently discuss topics from a vast array of genres and I possess an all consuming lust for knowledge. I am liberal to the point of being nearly an anarchist. Unless you are a supermodel I have better legs than you.
Who I'd like to meet: I am looking to meet intelligent, erudite and articulate people anywhere in the spectrum of humanity for friendship. I have a fondness for those that can appreciate art and literature, people who are not afraid to embrace darkness (shit does happen, and the only way to deal with it is to bring it into the light)yet still have a positive outlook on life, deviant minds, independent thinkers and photographers, painters and writers. So let's grab a bottle of red wine, find a few seats on a patio in the sun and talk about how much better the world would be if we were in charge!
