Kilang grew up on the green hills of Nagaland, India. As a child he always ran around the house singing, but only started to take it seriously as a young teenager. He spent a few years honing his skills, performing at the local variety shows and at school.
In late '97, he got together with a friend and started a band, Faith. The band then toured through different parts of India over the next 5 years, playing at various major festivals and events.
In 2002, the band dispersed, and Kilang decided to go solo.
His debut album, Break Through, was released in 2004. An assortment of classic rock styles combined into one amazing album, Break Through has a moment for everyone.
Two of the tracks from Break Through (River of Life and Heaven's Celebration) were selected to be on Think Again, India's first ever Christian Rock Compilation.
One of the tracks (Miracle) was also recently featured on Awake & Arise - A Musical Tribute to Life.
After the release of Break Through, Kilang went on tour again, including performing at the first Christian concert in Nepal.
Kilang is currently taking time away from his musical pursuits in Bangkok, Thailand. However he will be back soon with the recording and release of his second album.
