Kill Dorothy is a partnership between Lucia de Castro and Nils Hagner. The London pop/rock band was formed in October 2003 when Lucia, a Portuguese singer/songwriter, and Nils, a Swedish guitarist/songwriter/producer met and decided to start a band with influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix to P. J. Harvey, Pixies, Garbage, Hole, Foo Fighters, Guano Apes, and Evanescence.
Kill Dorothy's formula of instantly-catchy power pop/rock tunes, high-drama compositions, and Lucia..s distinctive voice jumping between soft and hard, created a unique sound that will blow you away!
The band has been gigging throughout the London scene from 2005 to early 2006 creating excitement in the audience, garnering high praise from the venue promoters and interest by the music industry and media. During most of 2006 Kill Dorothy focused all available time on the writing, recording and production of their debut album .. ..KILL DOROTHY...
