Killing Chloe - Only Hope _ DVD 2009
Killing Chloe Live! Skeleton Key from Renegade Films on Vimeo.
Killing Chloe is a 4 piece Progressive rock/metal act from Cincinnati ,Ohio. With strong hooks and steadfast expressive lyrics about everything from loss to love to self preservation, the most basic of human emotions, and an unyielding rhythmic and atmospheric laden core, this band is leaps and bounds absent from the current flavor of the week musical trends plaguing the Ohio Music scene.
**" The Origin "**
Killing Chloe was formed out of frustration with the current popular trends in music, which were mainly metal/core and screamo bands, and failed attempts at starting new projects in Ohio. In 2005, Steve began writing music and taking it to 101 Productions producer Charles A. Fisher(bass/drums on demos) and turned demos of 5 songs into two amazing songs with the help of Fisher and close friend and fellow engineer/producer Nate Shrewsbury, who also lent a hand to drums during tracking. The seed grew into a plant, and thus, Killing Chloe became a full fledged project. Every 3 to 6 months, Steve would travel from Middletown, Ohio to Sissonville, West Virginia to record one song at a time, piece by piece, brick by brick.
By 2006, 6 tracks had been recorded, and it was time for Chloe to become a band, not just a recording project.
After countless try outs, months of frustration, some hard work, and a year of refinement touring around locally, a core took shape with the addition of J.P. Morris on guitars, Kevin Best on drums, and Brad Roades on bass. Now, as the band prepares for it's second EP release" The Okapi & Other Myths That Exist" the follow-up to the highly successful "2 Years Later" EP which features fan favorites like "Only Hope", "Taboos", and the heavy hitting "I Wait".
