Since 2002 the Punk Rockers of KILLING OMA are permanently on their very own way through Austria (and some other european countries). With their mix of melodic Punkrock and old school Hardcore, they make their audience move, and uncover social problems and talk about what they think what’s going wrong in this world. Melodic Hardcore-Punk without any influences of the ongoing Emo-hype.
Imagine a world where black clouds cover the former blue sky that touches the sea of blood and tears at the distant horizon. Exploitation of almost all species and resources is not just tolerated but highly welcome to provide a lifestyle of mass consumption in some minor parts of a planet, that is more and more suffering from a never seen before disease. The dominating race banned itself to some kind of media that robbed their abilities to make decisions, to think and to live in harmony with the planet, not even recognizing that they are running out of resources, running out of time.
Would you want to live in this world? No? Alternatives exist. Join the struggle.
KILLING OMA are 4 (bad) musicians and some dedicated people that always lend us a hand when we're in need of help. This is our hobby, we all have jobs or go to university in our daily routine. That means money is not (very) important for KO. We already played some shows for free in the past and for sure will do in our future. Of course we can not do this every time, but we are very cheap, so please, if you want to set up a concert, make a party or need some songs for your skateboard video, don't hesitate to contact us, we really love to play and are always happy about any support!
