Killjoy was formed in march of 1997. They began playing mostly Nirvana songs, later incorporating their own original material. Playing two World Festivals, multiple CD release parties for Sam Goody, and a live Radio Broadcast on 105.3fm in Manchester. They quickly developed an impressive fan base in Kentucky including the surrounding cities of Lexington, Louisville, Richmond... Their songs have been featured on KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles and on the soundtrack for the independent film "Road Rash". Killjoy also has a regular rotation on a Southern California based radio station, "The Punk Rock Demonstration." Killjoy's music is energetic and entertaining, and their take on the punk genre is refreshingly unique. On their album "A Step above No One," Killjoy brings life, love, anger, rebellion, and absurdity to the listener. You can catch them every Wednesday at The Gypsy Lounge.
