Sounds Like
K-I-L-L-E-R S-O-U-N-D-S!...songs about drunkeness, underage women and the sound of shakin a tail feather!
"...it's their best single yet...TSF at their most Monoshock-y...I've always loved this band, but I think this might be the record that gets them the respect they deserve." - Rich Kroneiss [Terminal Boredom]
"...I was of split mind on the stuff they released when they were
alive, but this...this is great AmRep pigfuk though with a very cool
loose quality to it." - Scott Soriano [S-S Records]
"...sounds like CHROME circa-"The Lion Concert" meets GERMS "Shut Down", but with their own unique and proficient styled vocals..." - BS [MaximumRock&Roll]
File these slugs with Pissed Jeans as modern bon vivants reliving the heavy harshness once laid down by scum like Drunks with Guns. This Seattle quartet's single is easily the apex of TSF's releases, with the bass hypnotism and guitar damage of "Braces" alone worth the price of purchase. - Ben Blackwell [Metro Times Detroit]
COMING SOON:
Dead Again Vol. 1(Bookies Club Babies '78-'81) EP
KBD-style Detroit round-up'uh The Sillies, Cadillac Kids [produced by the MC5's Wayne Kramer] and The Seat-Belts.
Bold ChickenBold Chicken LP
Here's a pure slab'uh mid-70's proto punk insanity, straight outta the rubber pits'uh Akron, OH. Bold Chicken is'uh pre-Rubber City Rebels band with Buzz Clic on geet duty and positively scorches anythin else comin out in 1972 (when the earliest tracks were recorded). Previously only issued as an authorized CDR release from Smog Veil.
The RageSignals/Jagged Time Lapse [John's Children] 7"
The
Rage, what can ya say about em? Two-time losers...
Debutin in 1977 at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go's 'Punk Rock
Weekend' put on by Kim Fowley, their
set recorded by Bomp and the
whole shebang MC'ed by Rodney
Bingenheimer was'uh smashin start, but the tapes went
unreleased.
A few labels showed interest in releasin'uh single, but
nuthin ever came of it...
Later in '78, though the band had split, they recorded two
tracks for'uh comp John Hewlett (of John's Children, Sparks
and Milk 'n' Cookies fame) was puttin together. But, the
comp was scrapped and The Rage faded into history......until now.
What we have here is two tracks recorded on'uh dreary January day in 1978 by Bill Inglot (ex-Rhino Records superman!). One original and (fittingly, considerin it's o-rig-o-nal context) a cover of'uh John's Children tune, only now seeing the light of day.
