The Hostages are a young band from mid wales, who's somewhat supersonic expanding fan base means that not only are their venues being filled so much that people have to stand on the drum kit, but fans are also going to the extent of squeezing their ears against outside windows just to get a listen. Not only do they leave the crowd speachless when playing their own songs but then blow people away by putting their own style to old favourites from The Beatles and The Who, to current hits from bands such as The Arctic monkeys. Who wouldnt want to cop a feel of their talent?!
"The Hostages?!" I hear you bellow. "Who are they?!" You shriek. Well its fortunate I am here really isnt it, because otherwise youd be yelling at yourself, and thats just weird. It just so happens that youre preaching to the choir baby! Thats right I am your chap, want to know what socks Fearnley Evison wore last week? I can tell you. Want to know what the last fucked up if you were the last person on earth question that Tom Jones asked was? I can tell you. Thats right, Im the man that everyone is envious of. Oh, and for the record, the socks, they were green.
First under the cosh, Tom Jones, lead singer, guitarist and lyrical mastermind. However the only thing unusual about this Tom Jones (see what I did there? Ha, farking loves it dont you?), is that not only can he touch you through his music (watch out kids) but at 4 oclock on a crisp March daybreak, when you are in desperate need someone to help deliver a C-section on your prize ewe, non other than Mr. Jones would be more than apt for the job, thats right, Fergal college all the way baby! Anyway, going off the point a little. Camouflaged pork chops and dogs with bones are more than enough of a reason to pin your ears back, so do it already.
And then you have Simon Bossman Johnson (yes I made the Bossman bit up, genius I know). His unbeknown love for the ex libertines Naltrexone implanted, crack cocaine addicted, worst excuse for a rock and roll artist since postman pat once tried to sing to Mrs. Norris, luckily has no influence to the music he or anyone else in the band produces. Simon does however, when finally emerging from behind his drum kit, do one of the most energetic performances of four kicks (kings of leon), and When the sun goes down (those crazy polar apes) I think I may have ever seen, quite a spectacle, and I dont mean glasses, a must see.
Ah Mr Evison. Just for the record, no! I was as flabbergasted as you, he is not in his late 40s, he actually is 17, barmy! And to my dismay he also is (according to the grapevine) in no way related to Anthony Keidis, Im putting in an appeal for that one though. His love for everything and everyone is greatif not a little scary, yet good all the same, and also makes up for the fact that Mr. Johnson is a cynical pig (Simon being the first to stand up and say Boys that was F**king shit, Tom sort it out otherwise Im getting a full time job in Somerfields).
Enjoy!

Hi!
I've put a couple of new tracks up on my page. Please have a listen and let me know what you think. "Faithfully" is an all time favourite of mine and a song I used to sing with a rock band many, many years ago.
"Shine" is a brand new song written by Paul Weston and recorded with The Welsh Television Orchestra.
If your not doing anything next Friday (25th), come and see the show with The Welsh TV Orchestra, Combined Male Voice Choirs of Wales, Owen Money and myself at St Davids Hall - Box Office 02920 878444 - or click the pic below!
Just wanted to let you know that 'Bread Of Heaven' - The Official Album of the Welsh Rugby Union is now available to download from iTunes, Napster, emusic and most online music stores.
You can also order the CD from TESCO or WOOLWORTHS
I have a big show coming up at the end of the month - on Friday 25th May I will be joined by comedian Owen Money at St David's Hall, Cardiff for the 'Made In Wales' show. We toured smaller theatres around Wales with this show last year and had such a great time that we have decided to put the show on at St David's Hall. We will be joined by The Welsh Television Orchestra and combined Male Voice Choirs of Wales.
We will also have some very special guests in the audience so I hope you can join us!!
