kill the mockingbird, a metal-core quintet making their home in los angeles, california; originated in the summer of 2007. kill the mockingbird is comprised of memebers; andrew jarrin, andrew slane, chad killen, and ralph zamora.
making their debut in october of 2007, kill the mockingbird has been on a one-way street to success. in their first few months of existence sharing the stage with such acts as in this moment, protest the hero, the human abstract, i wrestled a bear once, vanna, divine heresy, and the ghost inside; kill the mockingbird has attracted a rapid growing fan base.
in march of 2008 kill the mockingbird teamed up with producer shaun lopez (deftones, far, revolution smile, demon hunter) to record their much anticipated debut professional recording. following the release a of their 3 song demo “allow us to demonstrate”; kill the mockingbird immediately saw their online fan base soar to new heights. eventually being named by MYSPACE A PLACE FOR METAL as one of the top unsigned bands in all of myspace. shortly after the band was also added to the 2008 warped tour, competing with over 12,000 bands nationwide and wining the “ernie ball battle of the bands” competition.
known for their diligent internet marketing and street promotion, kill the mockingbird has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working and top upcoming acts in all of los angeles. the band has been critically acclaimed for their intricate song writing and stage presence. their stage presence is packed with every bit of energy the five members have; and it is that which grabs a-hold of the audience and takes them in for a ride.
