The world premier of “Oedipus Tyranos” a reworking of the classic By Orryelle Defenestrate Bascule Also performances by Raymond Salvatore Harmon (USA) – “Sigils of the Heptameron” Theatre of Ophidia (UK) – “Kept from the Eyes of God” OEDIPUS TYRANOS is a dynamic and contemporary re-working of the classic tragedy from Ancient Greek theatre. Whereas Sophocles’ well-known original play of the myth (‘Oedipus Rex’) is irrevocably fatalistic, this new version demonstrates that Fate and Free Will are not mutually exclusive. In this world premiere of OEDIPUS TYRANOS written by Orryelle with Ghazelle Fable (who plays the SphinX) in classical and contemporary verse. Orryelle plays Oedipus, interacting live with other Australian members of Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Co. performing the transpersonal Goddess roles in spectacular larger-than-life film projections (including tribal fusion dance), and local UK performers playing the other mortal human characters live. Sigils of the Heptameron by Raymond Salvatore Harmon Based on the seven invocations of the angels of the day from the fourth book of Agrippa's Occult Philosophy (attributed to Peter de Albano). These 7 transcendental films contain all of the original text of the invocations of each day as subliminal content.
