Kill Your Telly is a master among midgets on the party scene of Copenhagen and the clubnight's simple message of exchanging dead time in front of uninspiring TV sets, for high quality techno parties, was so powerful a concept that it went straight to the top of the collective mind of ravers in the Danish capital when launched in 2003. The KYT mayhem is still going strong with the unchanged concept of murdering TVs Around the city and bringing quality club experiences.

Through the years KYT have been responsible for returning clubnights at:
Stengade 30, Basement, Rust, Culture Box and with the sisterclub, Klub DADA at Vega. Furthermore KYT have been a keyplayer in festivals and one offs events like Clubbinghagen Festival, Silobash, Monsta Island, Cph Distortion Festival, Strøm Festival and Art Rebels Festival.

Today “Kill Your Telly is still going strong CULTURE BOX” which is a techno/minimal/house club. Through the years a broad variety of quality acts have been invited to the Capitol of Copenhagen to perform at KYT parties:

Rhadoo, Raresh, Melchior Productions, Onur Özer, Deadbeat, Ripperton, Loco Dice, Modeselektor, Brett Johnson, Nick Curly, Michael Mayer, Miss Kittin, Agoria, Rob Acid, Justus Köhncke, Erobique, Gebrüder Teichmann, P toile, Stewart Walker, Extrawelt, Justin Martin, Pig And Dan, Trentemøller, Agaric, Martinez, Shinedoe, 2000 And One, Swayzak, Joakim, Nóze, Schneider TM, Dj Maxximus, Paul St. Hilaire & Scion, Donk Boys, Cutlass Supreme, Pan-Tone, DMX Krew, I-F, Mad Proffessor, Extrawelt, Ceephax Acid Krew, Expander, Mediegruppen Telekommander, Rollerboys, Chromeo, Jahcoozi, DJ Humus, .... aaaaaaaaaaaand the list goes on
These have all been accompanied by the cream of the danish scene of electronic music.

The visuals and graphics have been taken very well care of by a number of amazing artists.
Some highlight picture wizards from the KYT family are The Emperor Of Antarctica, Mamamo, Rune Brink, Mr Øbro, Copenhagen Brains, Samesame, Kat G, Andreas Emenius and De Røde Børn - all contributing to the sense of whole which characterizes KYT.

The Name?

People in the industrialized world spends an average of three hours a day in front of the TV. That’s half their time off work. This makes watching television the largest leisure time occupation, and the third most time consuming activity of all, exceeded only by sleep and work. During 75 years of life, this adds up to about 8 years in front of the telly :-)
