Kilrush is an Irish band based out of Elmira in the Southern Tier of New York. We are a high energy group that guarantees you will be moving to the rhythm. Fusing heavy tribal percussion with traditional favorites, you will hear an entirely new approach to Irish music. Kilrush also plays the traditional jigs and reels that have been passed down generation after generation in the smoky old pubs and kitchens of days past. If you are looking for a good time you owe it to yourself to give a listen.
Kilrush has played many of the major Irish festivals in the northeast, including great venues such as The Great American Irish Festival (Utica NY ) and The Hooley on the Hudson ( Kingston NY ). In doing so, we have shared billing and the stage with many well known performers including Tommy Makem, Town Pants, Enter the Haggis, Cathie Ryan and many many more.
Kilrush is available for any occasion. They will not only play the pub scene and festivals, but weddings, family events and any other occasion you can think of. For more information check out www.kilrushband.com ! Hope to share a pint with you soon !
