KILSLUG WAS FORMED IN 1982 BY RICO PETROLEUM (from groinoids) AND LARRY LIFELESS (from the sickness) WITH DRUMMER TY AVOLIO... AFTER ABOUT ONE YEAR, BIG DADDY (from the sickness and groinoids) JOINED ON BASS FOR RECORDING SESSIONS AND ODD LIVE SHOWS (later moving to drums)... TWO SINGLES AND A RAW AND RARE CASSETTE (shown in pics) WERE RELEASED BY THIS LINE-UP... IN JUNE 1985, KILSLUG RECORDED THE WHOLE "ANSWER THE CALL" ALBUM IN ONLY A FEW HOURS AT A BOSTON RECORDING STUDIO. THE LINE-UP; LARRY LIFELESS, RICO AND THE REST OF THE GROINOIDS WITH MONGOLOID PLAYING 2nd GUITAR, CHEEZE ON BASS AND B.D ON DRUMS... MONGOLOID ONLY PLAYED A FEW LIVE SHOWS FOLLOWING THE ALBUM, BUT HE AND CHEEZE BROUGHT IN SOME MATERIAL FROM THEIR OWN BAND MORTICIAS MOURGE, THAT IS BRILLIANT (crying in the church, march of the skeletons, spread for satan, death squad, crematorium etc)... THEY ALSO CONTRIBUTED GREATLY TO THE ALBUM ALONG WITH B.D'S DRUMMING... THIS LINE-UP RAN TILL 1987 WITH VARIOUS 2nd GUITAR PLAYERS FOR SHORT TOURS AND EAST COAST SHOWS... IN 2007 A REUNION SHOW WAS RECORDED FOR A LIMITED EDITION LIVE ALBUM (limited appeal records in friends here) AND WAS FOLLOWED UP BY FOUR SHOWS IN THE N.Y.C. AREA AND A BOSTON CABLE T.V. APPEARANCE IN 2008. LARRY LIFELESS HAS FORMED HIS OWN BANDS OVER TIME (angry hate. upsidedown cross W/ CHEEZE etc. in top friends here) THAT STILL STILL PLAY ON OCCASIONS. HE ALSO CURRENTLY, HAS A PSEUDO KILSLUG COVER BAND THAT INCLUDES B.D. ON DRUMS, CALLED "KILSLUG"... THE SAME BAND ALSO CALLS THEMSELVES "GROINOIDS" WITH MONGOLOID SINGING... LIKE A LYNRD SKYNRD STORY, BUT THERE IT IS!!! (more details in the band members section)
