At the age of 14, Kim DiMarco picked up a guitar that was lying around the house and just taught herself how to play the instrument. There were no lessons, just a good ear and few chord patterns found on a Cranberries' video she had recorded on her parent's VCR. Shortly after she had a huge desire to write and play her own songs.
At first she would just play tunes she loved from her favorite artists. Later on she would play her own songs, but chucked in a few covers. By the age of 17, Kim records her first CD in Spanish called "Sombras Entrelazadas" and is performing in Orlando local clubs and coffee shops. Soon after she goes to school to become a music producer. Kim forms an alternative band in 2002, and starts playing shows in and around Central Florida.
Today Kim DiMarco composes, records, produces, and manages her own music. She has played extensively in the Orlando circuit for more than 6 years. Her melodic rhythm from the sounds of the power cords, to her well sung and written lyrics that anyone of any age can relate to, creates music that fans describe as sounding like a blend of Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, and Shakira. The music keeps the audience wanting more.
Just to let you know that I am planning to be relocating to Orlando the end of next year or the first of 2011 and I would love to come hear you and if you need a bass player, I would love accompany you in your band. Please keep in touch. I'll ttyl!
