About me:

MySpace Layouts

I write books for YA and adult readers. I love hiking, writing, and hanging out at bookstores, libraries, and food co-ops. It's a wild life with the wildlife. I'm a librarian, too. Right now I buy YA fiction and graphic novels for my library district. My sweetheart Mario Milosevic and I live most of the year in the Pacific Northwest where we write stories and commune with Old Trees and other wild things; we wander around the Southwest for the rest of the year where we generally join the Coyote Chorus and howl at the moon at any opportunity. My last two books were Mercy, Unbound and Broken Moon. Ruby's Imagine comes out this summer. My website is here.

Wow, Kim! Great new site!

The 60-Question interview was amazing. I feel I know you quite well. I also feel I should share some deep dark secrets or something, just to make it fair.

I'll let you know as soon as I have some! ;-)

Kudos!

Cosmic Cosmo's howling around here @ the program. They sing so sweet. Off to Nashville for a bit and then up on the Island and over to Yakima. Hope to catch up with you when I get back...until then, Blessed Be.

Hey there! I see you haven't been on in a while. Busy?
I'm on myspace more, now, so you'll probably catch me better these days.
Haha.

Hope you're alright!

My goodness! You should chill for a while. Take a vacation. =]
The blahs aren't over. I had a migraine all night, no sleep, leg cramps, and it's eased up a bit, but not much. And I'm just stressed out. If it's not one thing, it's another. I can't get away from it! -sigh-
Glad you're getting some sleep though. Seems like things are better than they were before.
Oh, and I'm not on much, lately. So if it takes me a little while to reply, sorry! I'll try to check it regularly.

Sleep's rather impossible. My best friend/sister is in the hospital so I've spent the better part of two days here, including staying overnight. She's having some pregnancy trouble.
-sigh-
I'll catch a few z's eventually. Sleep's really the last thing I can think of right now.

Glad you finished the novel. Since that's off your shoulders, that's probably why you're sleeping. Hope it continues to go well.

I passed out last night somewhere around 2? Slept till about 10:30, then started waking up every few minutes. I still feel exhausted. I'm sure part of it's dreams and stress.

How was your night?
ベラ

Mar 12 2008 7:41 PM

I'd just like to say, I hope you've gotten enough sleep the last couple nights.
Cause I know I haven't slept a wink.
I fell asleep out of nowhere last night, woke up, and passed back out, but then tossed and turned all night.
I think we need sleeping pills or something.

Thanks! I'm feeling decent today. And absolutely not! It's freezing outside! I wish it would get warm. I'm so tired of the cold and the snow threats.
I've spent a lot of time reading lately, and losing myself in books, so that helps me escape and keep my mind off things.

How are you doing?

Hugs!

That's good. Hopefully you'll get some rest tonight, too. I haven't been sleeping well. Stressed out to the max. -sigh-

Yeah, I knew you were a librarian, so I figured you'd know what to do. I'll have to request some books. Thanks for letting me know. =]

Mar 6 2008 1:03 PM

Hi! I slept last night finally. Let's hope I can tonight again. Thanks.

Hmm. Why don't the libraries around you have my book? Because they are BAD libraries! No, I'm just kidding. I don't know why. You can ask them to get them and most libraries will do that. Most of them have a form either on line or at the library. Most of the time, they're glad to have suggestions, especially in the YA area. (I'm a librarian, too, so I know a little about this.)

Hi Kim!
How are you doing? Sleeping any better?

I can't seem to find any of your books at the libraries around here.
Is there a reason for that?

That's too bad about not having the time to read! I don't know if I could stand to be around so many books and not read them. The first manga I read was "Her Majesty's Dog" and it was love at first sight. I've also read a lot of Clamp's stuff which has all been very good. Have you tried any of those?

Hi Kim.
How are you?
I see you have Ellen in your top friends.
I talk to her as well.

You're having trouble sleeping? [your status message]
Hmm...
I have a few things that help me.
Hot tea [particularly something with a lot of herbs, or a citrusy sort of flavour]
Lay on your back and just do breathing exercises.
Read or write, if you have a lot on your mind. Don't focus on your writing/books, but more like a diary.
Calm music, like instrumentals, Enya, nature sounds, etc.
And I sleep with something that soothes me, like my ex's scarf, or just something to cuddle with.
Iuno.
Some of it helps me when I have too much on my mind and can't sleep.
Thought I'd share it with you.

Get some rest!
=]
