Our funny fellas' antics put smiles on our faces & songs in our hearts.... Backstreet Boys' music, in simplest terms, lifts our hearts like larks & 'takes us from Darkness to Light', through their power ballads' haunting lyrics ('Show Me the Meaning', 'Incomplete', 'Siberia'), superb vocal harmonies, & joyous rocking tempos ('Shining Star', 'Larger Than Life', & so many more.
We positively promote BSB in our Yahoo groups (Chatters, JNN/NICK ROCKS, Tabudwellers & Brian Glows). We believe in the uplifting kind of music BSB sing, and we support them @ Official Fanclub @ www.backstreetboys.com and here, Facebook, BeBo, and in our CHATTERS groups: ..
Our BSB Community cannot wait to see all BSB projects, solo & collectively, from Alex, Nick, Howie, Brian, whether they be musical, or emanating from their foundations' forces for good events. To promote ALL BSB projects, we have individual groups, supporting ALL 4. Here are just a few links to our groups ~

Television
TOPPING my all time faves is Gene Roddenberry's incredibly fascinating Vision in Star Trek ~TREK lives on forever, since his son Rod @ ..
Besides TREK major in my world since 1966, other tv shows I haved enjoyed watching, over the years, inc.: Dragnet, Rod Serling's original The Twilight Zone, Carol Burnett Comedy Hour, quiz show extraordinaire Jeopardy, Kung Fu-starring David Caradine, Beauty and the Beast, Remington Steele, Forever Knight, Dr. Quinn-Medicine Woman/starring Jane Seymour, X-Files, Joss Whedon's Buffy/Angel, Hercules/Xena Warrior Princess, and Fame '80's series inspired by movie & newer shows: Law & Order, CSI, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE (so FUNNY!), Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, Dancing with the Stars! (*cough*joey was robbed*cough*), and of course, all PBS Shows, especially their historical mini-series, World/D.C. News. Be sure to watch vintage/classic series whenever they pop up in syndication, or FIND those treasured vid/dvds! www.half.com and www.oldies.com are good places for hard to find but still GREAT shows. P.S. ALL of us in BSB Land, are hoping E! brings out on dvd their House of Carters series, with tons of extras, like MORE of their hours' worth of taping, of Leslie's Cat Club gig, of which only a few seconds were on the show. We all had such a wild blast that night! Here's a few pics to give you an idea:
For entertainment news we need to know: ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, EXTRA, and daily KTLA/Channel % Morning News.
Books
Writers I most enjoy are a diverse lot: Jane Austen, Michael Crichton and crime novelists Joseph Wambaugh and Michael Connelly. Plus, Tom Robbins' imaginative flights that bend reality as we know it, inc. good sci fi (Trek novels, Jumper books & Stranger in a Strange Land), plus lively autobiographical memoirs that are more strangely fascinating than any fiction ever written. Also, detailed historical narratives that bring our precious Past alive, like "John Adams" latest bio. Those unaware of History, are doomed to make the same mistakes. *cough*bushies*cough*
Heroes
True heroes' legacies are eternal treasures to our World:
READ about
and SUPPORT Heal the Bay (SoCal beaches) here (click HERE):..
More heroes inc.: Elizabeth I, William Wilberforce's , fight for over 2 decades, ending slave trade in England - in 1807 (see "Amazing Grace" film for fantastic victory), Armistad defender: John Quincy Adams, The Great Emanicipator Abraham Lincoln, Anne Frank for never giving up on her fellow human beings, progressives FDR,JFK/RFK, Sr. Pres. Lyndon Johnson for pushing Civil Rights legistation finally through Congress, Susan B. Anthony, Gloria Steinem, Molly Ivins, Jane Fonda, Princess Diana, super Green Environmentalist Ed Begley, U2/Bono, Dixie Chicks for their bravery, and Barack Obama for his inspiring intelligence and inclusiveness. Much recognition should go to education and art affirming L.A. philanthropist Eli Broad's many strides, to improve our World. Since working for Peaceful solutions matter, Russ Feingold must be honored as one of the too few intelligent U.S. Senators, who voted against monkey boy bush's invasion of Iraq, back in 2003. RIGHT ON RUSS! Check out Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s environmental watchdog activism site, by clicking his pic here:

Amazing things happen, when the Spirit is willing, and the mind is open to explore more intelligent & humane ways to improve our World! Daily and globally, we must work hard to bring Peace to our World, so sadly torn apart by hatreds, miscommunications and ignorance.
Every day we have here on Earth, MUST be a Celebration of LIFE!
Memorable Quotes:
"I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision" ~ Maya Angelou
Unless we learn lessons from History, we are doomed to repeat Mankind's most horrific mistakes. Life is not a dress rehearsal, so... pay attention.

Hi to you! I'm Kim, a/k/a "kimasabe", and #1 about me is... I feel incredibly LUCKY and blessed, to be alive & living in L.A. my entire life, with happy memories of growing up in San Gabriel Valley, not far from the Spanish Mission, whose residents created Los Angeles Pueblo, over 200 yrs. ag. Its a good feeling to give back! All important causes (environmental, educational, health, community, PEACE , improving our World, have always occupied my mind & time.
Besides promoting my hometown, I adore dancing to soul songs (like 'Mustang Sally'... anything upbeat & bouncy), watching classic/ contemporary films/tv shows, British Isles travel, English literature, supporting: environmental & better health & humanistic political causes, PLUS ping pong!
I LOVE rocking out to REALLY good singers, from Beatles to Backstreet Boys! We promote BSB's music in our 20 Yahoo private/unlisted groups! To check them out for free, just click YAHOO "JOIN NOW" icons on this page. Our groups promote POSITIVE things in BSB Land ~ primarily, our fellas' music, their caring foundations & charity causes, and to keep connected our online global community.
Please be patient about my response delay to you & overall slow ability to read/post/respond to your bulletins & blogs. I am now unable to post THANKS, when new Friends add me here, due to my extremely limited MySpace access. But, I do hope to be able to check here, several times weekly & I do regret response delays to you; however, current computer circumstances are beyond my control. Que Lastima City! *cries*

is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is
your answer."
