Hello to all myspacers - welcome on my site ! I´m a saxofonist and flutist, producer and composer from Denmark / Germany. I especially love Jazz, Cuban and Brazilian Music. After graduating in Jazz Performing, Composition and Arrangment at the Universities of Performing Arts in Germany and New York, I lived for a while in Madrid, playing and traveling Spain and Cuba, before I went down to Rio de Janeiro in 2002 with my old fellow Paulo Morello where we set up our first project Bossa Nova Legends. Together with the production of the CDs “Morello & Barth present Bossa Nova Legends”, we led a three year tour (2003 - 2006) with legendary singers Johnny Alf, Leny Andrade and Pery Ribeiro, hitting the major Jazz festivals and Concert Halls in Europe and South America (Queen Elisabeth Hall, London; Teatro Rival, Rio de Janeiro; Verona Jazzfestival, Italy). Our current Morello & Barth production features the great Viviane de Farias. For the CD `Moment of Passion` Paulo and I team up with some of the finest musicians known for their work with Célia Cruz, Raul De Souza and Tania Maria: Mauro Martins (dr), Tizian Jost (p) and Dudu Penz (b). Beside my work in production and performing, I lead a Salsa Big Band and teach both Jazz and Latin music at the University of Music of Nürnberg, Germany.
