A good start to a better idea
That was Teague
And this is GLORYBOX
Kim, Hans & Merijn have been playing together since late 2007. Shortly after, they recorded their first demo.
They were chosen as one of LiveXS Local Hero's (a Dutch popmagazine) and gained more live experience in well-known venues such as Paradiso.
The edginess of the songs turned out to work really well on stage. To emphasize that, they dusted off an old philicorda organ to create a more punkier sound.
Along with that change in mindset, they just had to pick and choose a different name....and GLORYBOX fits like a glove....
It's still a mixture of indie pop/rock - with little bits of stoner and bluesy-soul -played by a minimal line-up, but this time with a fatter groove and an overdriven tubey sound...
Think about....
a stripped down dEUS
a chilled out Arctic Monkeys
a frantic David Bowie
and maybe even with a bit of Sonic Youth-hysteria, if you like
