I like pretty much everything...from Elton John, Stevie Wonder and (yeah, that's right) even Abba, all the way to Nickelback, Daughtry, AC/DC (old school), and Lil Wayne (I blame my 15 year old son for that last one).
Movies
JUNO, SUPERBAD, LAST OF THE MOHICANS (all time fav), the original STAR WARS trilogy (I wanted to BE Princess Leia), GREASE (ditto with Olivia Newton John). I also just saw GONE BABY GONE, which was one of the best white trash movies ever (I swear that some of those people weren't acting!).
Television
Some of my personal favorites are MEDIUM, HEROES, THE TUDORS and WEEDS (on Showtime -- those are the raunchy, no holds barred shows without censorship), HOUSE, THE CLOSER, SAVING GRACE (also, very little censoring), and CHUCK. I also love THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, MY NAME IS EARL, FAMILY GUY (again, my son's fault), and SPONGEBOB (my daughter's fault). The show I wish they'd bring back: Fox's ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT!
Books
WICKED LOVELY, INK EXCHANGE and FRAGILE ETERNITY, THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH, THIRTEEN REASONS WHY, WAKE, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, THE KITE RUNNER and A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS, THE GOLDEN COMPASS, THE RED TENT, SHADOWED SUMMER, NIGHT, PRADA & PREJUDICE
...and about a thousand other titles that I keep adding to my exponentially growing list.
Lifelong favorite:
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

About me: I’m a Young Adult author of the novel, THE BODY FINDER, scheduled to be released March 2010 by HarperCollins. My second book, DESIRES OF THE DEAD, will be released in 2011.
I live in the Pacific Northwest, which is the perfect place to be writing anything dark or creepy...a really gloomy day can be a great mood-setter. I live with my husband, Josh, and our three beautiful (and often mouthy) children, who serve as an endless stream of inspiration for my writing.
I am fortunate enough to be represented by the brilliant Laura Rennert at the Andrea Brown Literary Agency.

About The Body Finder
Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her “power” to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes the dead leave behind in the world . . . and the imprints that attach to their killers.
Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he’s claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay’s intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she’s falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer . . . and becoming his prey herself.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. Must have been quite a blow to have your book set back like that...Tho one day when your book is a huge success you'll probably look back on it and it wont seem so bad. Good luck. D
Aw, thanks, Kimberly! Sometimes it seems so... gray! I tried to make some of the text red, but it didn't work with this layout for some reason. How's your writing going? And the zombie teenagers? ;)
Just throwing around some of my colors into your world! Thanks for adding me into your circle of friends & thank you for supporting both my cause & my art!!!!
