Good Morning, This Thanksgiving Eve I find myself giving thanks more than any other year. I understand that the economy is uncertain, and my family is among those that have not escaped the effects of it unscathed. That being said, last year at this time I was in a wheelchair and couldn't move around very well, let alone walk and I had already undergone a couple of chemo treatments which made everything taste funny when I wasn't too sick to eat. I couldn't hold any of my grandchildren because I was very weak. This year I am very Thankful and Blessed that the Lord has spared me from great illness this year. Even though my cancer has returned I am in such a better place to observe this most special holiday with friends and family. I am Thankful for the Lord and all of my family, friends and doctors that brought me through the rough patches. As I "WALKED" into church last Sunday and approached the alter to pray I Praised God that I can now walk and I have regained some of the independence that Cancer stole from me last year. My wish for you all as you sit down with friends and family is that above all you give thanks to the Lord for not only the meal that you are about to enjoy but also your health your family and friends and the fact that you have a dinner table to sit around. I helped prepare Thanksgiving baskets with my church on Tuesday and will be helping serve another meal for the homeless on Saturday. The need is so much greater this year and I for one am blessed and Thankful for all that I have and for all that I have received through the Lord. Ronda aka Irish Rose Many Blessings to you and yours
