My name is Kimber Sparks. I'm a 'WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET' kinda country music singer who grew up in SWEET HOME ALABAMA. I ain’t trying to be like anybody else - just Kimber. I simply love sharing my life experiences through my songs. As for why I've chosen a career onstage, I think it's because of something my Grandma used to say to me when I was growing up. She’d say, 'You never know when something you say or do might be someone else's saving-grace - when you might be their angel.' I ain't never claimed to be an angel, but I do hope my words touch people.

I'm a 'talker' from way back, and I don't see that changing anytime soon! So, rather than sitting on some random street talking to myself, I reckon singing allows me to do it a bit more gracefully *smiles*

I moved to Australia's Gold Coast for university in 2001 - New Year's Day to be exact. Yes, they do have universities in America - and no, I was not running from the FBI or anything as exciting =o) The truth is, I went through a divorce, had two baby girls, and just wanted to make a change in my life and do something they would respect me for someday, rather than take the welfare way out - and I did exactly that. A year or so after moving to Australia, I got a lucky break in the country music industry when I was 'discovered' singing at the Great Western Hotel in Rockhampton by Australia’s favorite country boy, Lee Kernaghan.

I'm still a full-time university student, studying for my MBA. I've been studying non-stop for the past 8½ years, and I will hopefully graduate in August. To be honest - I'm a bit addicted to learning!!! I fully believe that 'EDUCATION IS EMPOWERMENT'! There are so many good kids out there who can change the world with the right opportunity, and I’d like to be a part of that. My goal in the future, other than my music, is to be a university lecturer.
