About 2 parts Sheryl Crow with the attitude and reckless abandon of KT Tunstall, Sarah McLachlan's lyrical honesty, and just a tiny bit of Amy Lee's breath control.
The resulting sound can best be described as what happens when you throw a folky pop singer in a blender with a rock band and then leave them all together to duke it out with an acoustic guitar.

Kim Dicso grew up playing trumpet and piano in Stratford, CT. She began to court the guitar in high school, fell in love with it in college, and is still happily involved with it.
Her vocal stylings and guitar strumming are influenced by her migration from the cool intensity of New England to the laid back rockabilly presence in the South.
Kim is writing an album and playing like crazy in Eastern NC and beyond.
She can be found sharing her music at bars and festivals all through the Cape Fear region.
Previous venues played include:
House of Blues, Myrtle Beach, SC;
Soapbox Laundro Lounge, Wilmington, NC;
16 Taps, Wilmington, NC;
The Underground, Wilmington, NC;
Bottega Art and Wine, Wilmington, NC;
Harvey's Deli and Tavern, Burgaw, NC;
Moe's Southwest Grill, Greenville, NC
Video documentation of a performance piece by my friend Nate Kassel who rode around on his bike slapping high-fives to people who were trying to hail taxi cabs in NYC. Enjoy!
