What happens when you put together Blues, Jazz, Fusion, Rock & Country? You get a progressive blend that is uniquely Kim Evans.
A Theory & Composition major and songwriter, Kim has written music that has received airplay on commercial radio, music beds for both radio and television spots, and serious pieces performed by brass and woodwind ensembles and choral groups around the country.
Kim's first release, Funkmaster, (2007, Sweet Pickle) an instrumental Progressive Rock-Jazz-Fusion project, has been acclaimed and appreciated for its range from "incredibly beautiful" to "absolutely smokin'." It includes Hollywood’s Planet, written for friend Jeanne (G.L.O.W.’s wrestling babe, “Hollywood,” now model, actress, & stuntwoman). Another tune from this project is currently the theme music for the very popular podcast Washington TravelCast, with over 80,000 featured downloads to date.
